The DDJ-REV1 integrates seamlessly with the free Serato DJ Lite software and features a brand new battle-style layout that makes it easy to play like a professional DJ. This 2-channel DJ controller's design closely resembles a professional DJM-S mixer + PLX turntable setup and includes specialized features for open-format and scratch DJs.
Brand new battle-style layout
Dive in with an interface designed to closely resemble the professional battle setup with 2 PLX turntables and a DJM-S mixer. The new placement of the controls on the DDJ-REV1 gives you full freedom to showcase your mixing and scratching techniques. The tempo sliders are 60 mm long – longer than on the DDJ-SB3 – for even more precise control. What's more, they are positioned horizontally at the top of the decks, while the Performance Pads have been moved to the mixer section so you can intuitively combine effects, trigger samples, and scratch your tracks.
Larger jog wheels
The larger the jog wheels, the smoother the scratching. The jogs on the DDJ-REV1 are the same size as those on the DDJ-SR2, a popular controller from our premium range.
Lever FX
Add dynamic texture to your music with Lever FX. You can pull the levers down and hold them to apply Serato DJ Lite effects in short bursts, or push them up to lock effects, leaving your hands free to scratch or browse tracks.
Tracking Scratch: a helping hand with scratching
The Tracking Scratch feature quietly returns the music to the cue point each time you move the jog wheel backward or take your hand off – so you don't have to close the fader or find the right spot in the music to scratch again. All you have to do is select the Tracking Scratch Pad mode, press a Performance Pad to choose the Scratch Crossfader Cuts pattern you want to use, and then move the jog.
Microphone in your audio: talk over your music while streaming
For the first time in a Pioneer DJ controller of this price range, the master audio output can be mixed with the microphone sound if one is connected. This means you don't need external equipment like a sound card or a separate mixer if you want to add a voice or vocals to your performance and send it through your computer. All sounds are sent to Serato DJ Lite for streaming from there.
Serato DJ Lite integration: fully enjoy the free software
Once you have downloaded the free Serato DJ Lite on your PC/Mac, you can connect the DDJ-REV1 via the included USB cable and start DJing. Control the many functions and effects in the software with the buttons, knobs, sliders, and jog wheels on the controller.
With the Scratch Bank pad mode, you can instantly load scratch samples from four banks that you have assigned in Serato DJ Lite or Pro by simply touching the assigned Scratch Bank button.
